Welcome to Brockville Language School
Brockville Language School (BLS) offers English courses in Brockville to adults 18 and older. BLS specializes in small group and individual classes. None of our classes has more than three students, giving each student more time to practice new language elements.
Brockville Language School offers 1-week, 2-week and 3-week immersion courses (15 hours per week) that will quickly improve your language skills, or you can learn English at your leisure with our 5-week General English skills courses and Business English courses (3-hour class, 1 day per week=total 15 hours) or our 4-week specialized business writing courses (3-hour class, 1 day per week=total 12 hours) and grammar polish courses (2.5-hour class, 1 day per week=total 10 hours). We also offer IELTS test preparation classes and tutoring.
Brockville Language School is located in historic downtown Brockville, a short walk to St. Lawrence River walking trails, parks and beaches, the Brockville Arts Centre, restaurants, boat tours, wreck diving, and golfing. Historic sites like Fort Wellington, Fort Henry, Jones Falls and the Rideau Canal system (a UNESCO World Heritage site) are only a short drive or optional excursion away. BLS is also well located between Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.

Hannelore Walther, Director
Hannelore Walther completed the CTESL program at Carleton University in Ottawa and has a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Concordia University in Montreal as well as over 20 years of experience developing, managing and teaching a variety of English second-language programs.
Hannelore managed the English Second- Language Program at the Bank of Canada for 12 years, where she developed business English courses and materials and taught business English, grammar, creating effective oral presentations, and email/report writing to both second language and first language professional and operational staff.
Hannelore has also taught general English and business English to international university and college students, as well as general English to newcomers to Canada.
